To be honest, the more I think about it the more I think Florida should get a chance. Mostly I was just pissed that USC was generating so much praise for what I think has been a hugely overrated season. Now that they're safely out of the picture, I can say I wouldn't be opposed at all to seeing Florida get in. They won one of the toughest conferences in the country with wins over Arkansas, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee and a pretty good Georgia team. My vote still goes to Michigan for the simple fact that they're a major conference team whos only loss came to the team ranked #1 in the country. But I can't honestly say Florida doesn't deserve a chance.

When it comes to the national title, I'd like for teams to at least get a shot at it, which is why I'd like to see at least the eight BCS teams make it into a playoff of some sort. Translating that to the current system, however, means that I'd probably prefer if Florida had a chance, particularly since they won the SEC. Yes, Michigan beat #2 Notre Dame, but I don't think anyone would claim that Notre Dame truly deserved that ranking. Michigan beat Wisconsin, but Wisconsin doesn't have any big wins on their resume. Yes, Michigan's only loss was to Ohio State at Ohio State, but it's hard for me not to think of that as their shot. I'd actually prefer seeing Michigan / Ohio State again, being a Big Ten alumnus, but it's hard not to wonder what more Florida had to do besides run the table.
