Once you have listened a few times you realise it is actually brilliant. They aren't trying to fall back on past successes or team sleep they try to develop their sound. I have grown up listening to their music when i was a teen the heavier sounds of around the fur and adrenaline were perfect but now i am older i think there newer stuff is better a good mix of melodic and heavy stuff.
